I run SSI on my car. It's awesome. The car runs like a ***** ape, and runs better than it did from the factory. It's drives like a stock car when you drive like a grandma and when you launch off of idle it could blow all 4 tires off the wheels.

Only person I know of besides the one above running SSI is building a new trans for it now......

All I can say...with all the other reputable companies out there, I wouldn't let that company touch my car EVER.

SSI seems to be banned word on the other forum. I figured there must have been some bad dealings for that to happen.

True. I'm trying to figure out between Unleashed and Livernois. There is a Ford Specialist Shop where I'm at and he said he would tune the car with all the bells and whistles for 500, but I don't want to go to his shop every time I need to change a tune...which brings up another question from my nooby ass: How many times do you guys change your tunes? Livernoise or Unleashed consumers? I've read that the Livernois 93 tune is a daily driver tune, so the wife can still use the car when taking kids to school?

I could go through a laundry list of motors blown, product not recieved, my own personal threats from the owner...and many others who have gotten the threats. Even if his tunes were the fastest by far and produced gold nuggets from my tailpipes I'd still go elsewhere.

Tuning the SHO...I'd stick with Livernois, Unleashed, or LET. Each has a great track record with lifetime support on tuning the vehicle you buy the tuner for.

All of them produce quality tunes that are daily driver friendly, as well as quick.

I'm tuned by Livernois and couldn't be happier myself.

You cannot go wrong with a Livernois tune. I also hear lots good things about Unleashed and some about LET. I have no doubt other tuners can create a powerful tune. Any tuner can crank up the boost and advance the timing to make the car fast. However, there are other HUGE things to consider such as engine and drivetrain durability as well as customer service.

You asked about changing tunes. I have run Livernois tunes since 2012. The only time I have changed tunes is when they introduce a new one. Their updates are free. I currently run their 4X 93 octane tune and have done so since it was introduced about 1 1/2 years ago. It does require a 3 bar map sensor which is around $50. I keep a 4+ 91 octane tune in my tuner in case I travel to an area that doesn't have 93, but I have never needed to use the 91 octane tune. The 4X is a great daily driver tune. The throttle response is excellent, the fuel economy is great, the engine runs smooth as silk, transmission behavior is perfect and the car is very quick.

Can your wife still take the kids to school with this tune? Yes, but she might be late getting back home because she will want to drive around and experience how great the car runs. :) Seriously, unless she has a heavy foot, she probably will not even notice it is tuned. While even light throttle response is a bit crisper, the real can of whup-ass is opened when the boost comes on. In gentle daily driving, she won't likely be in the boost at all.

I also have Lms tune as of Monday.2010 non pp. I was worried about changing tune for family members also. I tested the tune and was convinced I could run that tune for all occasions. It's stage 4+x 93 with 3-bar. Agressive if I really get on it very mild otherwise. My wife knows I've been working on the SHO but doesn't really understand what I'm doing even when I explain in detail. Anyway she borrowed the car last night with tune on it. She said nothing when she got home. I asked if she noticed a difference she said no. I have been in her n/a flex when she drives and don't see more than about 3500 rpm. That's just how she drives. Others may have different experiences but in the short time I've had the tune that's what I found. I'm very happy with Livernois and the way my car turned out. I can't speak for other tune shops but when I was making my decision I felt there must be a reason why after 6+ years of tuning these cars only a few are recommended on this forum. I figured our tuning forefathers have suffered the development stage so I didn't have to. I went with the advise of the majority .

Thanks. I am going with the livernois, when I get the money. Probably, before summer.

You said you have a 2010, so do I.

If you don't mind me asking, how many miles on the car before you put the tune on?

Monday when I installed tune I was at 67xxx. I was worried about the tune being ******* the car. I'm not worried now. I'm convinced this car has way more potential than what I'm asking it to do. I don't think milage is a factor at this point.

The only ones I would let tune the Ecoboost is Livernois and Unleashed. I can't say yes or no about LET, cause I haven't talked with anyone that has run there tunes. I had my 2012 tuned by Livernois, and now have my '13 tuned by them too. Haven't had any issues with them. I have friends that run Unleashed and no issues either. So, just do research, and you will find out who is good and who is bad.

When you e-mail strategy code, you will also include your tune request. You can request up to four tunes with the octane you desire.
