SRS, Air bag panels passenger side???

Ok i was wondering is there a way to take out the air bag panels that are on the passenger side. Mine are all faded and look like crap!!And i want to paint them to match my interior. My air bag light is on so i don't think my air bags work right now. wink Any coments will help out here.

As long as you don't plan on disconnecting the airbag, the side panels just snap on to place. use a screwdriver to pry off...be careful because the airbag is live....but painting them would make them a different color of the air bag...
