Squeaky sound

Does anyone have any idea why my car makes a squeaky sound on the right wheel when I turn the stearing whell? sometimes the noise is louder and sometimes it's lower.
btw I have a 94 MTX

It is probably your outer CV joint. Look at it and see if the boot is torn. If it is, all the grease from the CV joint has probably sprayed out and dirt has found its way in. The fix is replacing the axle. Hope this helps!

this sounds just started after I replaced my axle. likee 4 weeks ago my cv joint boot had a hole in and all the grease was out.
do you think the machanic put a bad axle in my car ?

I suppose that it is possible that they just threw a new boot on the joint, but I would certainly hope not! Does the axle itself look clean and new? If anyone else has any thoughts on this please jump in.

look at the wheels brake pads see how good those are maybe its worn down to the pins and thats what you hear making that noise i had that happen sometimes its fine sometimes its not.

but mines only makes that sounds when u turn the wheel..and it's coming just from the right side..

I had a noise like that in my 91.It got louder with cooler weather.There is a seal under the strut towers that got dry and rubbed when turning.I'm not sure exactly what it's called.I sprayed WD-40 all around to stop the groaning.After new struts I never heard it again.

WD-40 might solve it have to try it to findout so try. and i'd still say check ur pads.

ok I will do...thanx alot..I was thinking ..it might be the pads..when I step on the brakes the stearing wheel vibrates alot just the stearing wheel the brake pedal doesn't.
