how do you guys feel about not replacing them i cant afford them rite now. i have the intake off and everything but i need too register my car now

i second this, used RTV on dad's 91 sho about a year a half ago and still no oil leaks. and they were all filled to the top with oil!stevetatro:
Also, you can RTV both sides of the gasket. I've done this, and know many others who've done it too.
If you do the RTV trick for now because of the money thing then be sure to remove ALL RTV from the head and valve cover sealing surfaces when you finally DO get new spark plug tube seals. Like Scott said the new seals are a dry fit seal. You want a perfectly clean, dry, and oil free (wipe with acetone or denatured alcohol a minute before installing) surface with new seals.sdpatt:
The RTV is temporary at best and not recommended for new seals. The cheapest source for the Fel-pro VS50378R valve cover and plug well seal set is AutoZone.com for $71.99 (look up for a '91 SHO).
