A 5/8" plug socket should work just fine. Ive always removed the intake manifold to gain access to the rear plugs, however Ive heard you can get to them with a universal with the intake on. You'll want to get motorcraft plugs, Part Number: AGSP32FM, gap @ .042". For wires, go to www.rockauto.com and get the AC Delco wires, part number 16-826Q .

I got my back plugs out with just a couple of extentions ( a long and a short one) and a 5\8 plug socket with the rubber thing inside that holds the plugs in the socket to get them out of the hole.
