something weird just started

so i just got my red95mtx back on the road after strut change and i am driving it down the road to check out the alignment and make sure every thing is ok..... and my car starts surging... like the secondaries are kicking in and out...? i can even hear the sucking noise but it is happening at idle and all rpms...? this is the first i have driven it in about four weeks, i am going to go run the codes and see what i get, .... any ideas on this one...?

Most likely fuel pump related? Check your fuel pressure, pump, filter and even your CCRM.

what is the CCRM....? cruze control relay mod...? or something like that...and is the fuel pressure suppose to be with in a certain range..?

well ran the codes and nothing useful just that my coolant temp sensor was out of range.... time for more investigation

The CCRM is the black box underneath the radiator panel (big Ford decals). It controls the fuel pump, a/c fans, etc. This is known to short out causing fuel pump issues. I've had a similar problem with my 93 SHO, where at certain times the car would buckle and shutter and shake violently. I ended up swapping out my starter (which soon eventually failed), fuel pump (stopped priming) and IRCM (code 543, 556 came up).

I get a similar surging whenever my defrost or ac is on. I think its my ac compressor.
