I am having a **** of a time trying to find where one of my connections go!! I own a 1993 SHO with the 3.2L. I was examining my engine yesterday, and noticed that there is a wire with a connector that isn't connected to anything... It comes out of the fire wall close to my windshield wiper pump ( Just to the left, and underneath ). With further examination I was able to read what it says on the connector... It says Ford "EPC" on it. I have no clue what this wire goes to, or how it got disconnected either!! PLEASE HELP!!

It is a factory test port. It is not used for anything else. Also ALL ATX SHO's have an EGR valve.

It's bad to have open wires, you should get rid of the motor( give it to me :) ) and start over with a new motor. lol

AVI8OR..From what i read or was told, which i dont remember(i think it is in the Helms manual somewhere), the factory plugs into this port just before it leaves the assy. line after being built to do a systems check on the computer and check and reset any codes it might have before it leaves the plant. I dont know why they would use that port instead of the one we use to check codes..maybe at the factory that is the side of the car the machine was set up on on the line or something...

Well the Forum went down as I was typing this post. The connector is the VAPS (varible assisted power steering)test port.
