Awe man thanks alot! I love it! I done changed the oil a few times, I changed trans fluid a few times, i changed coolant, i changed rear diff and ptu a few times, all motorcraft fluids, yellow coolant with a vc12 flush. New 850cca motorcraft max batt, im going to do new plugs and coil boots when it gets little warmer, and I want it really fast. Like street fast though. I like the track, but just to work and back, you know? I read everything on these forums, I have a 2016 se, It's got 160 on the clock and beat up as you know what, but has served me well and doing the job for my son now. had the water pump replaced at 60 on it, i really want to do the job myself next time, had a 2018 pearl white SHO i really took care of, t- boned 3 months later. For sale 8 months later in like Nebraska. Salvage title. Crazy. Loved the car. Love this car. Got it in October at carvana. Got them all at carvana! It needs tint. And the drivers seat don't heat that well, but dude, I put Like 10 k on it! I only had it 6 months. I cannot stop cruising it! It had new brakes, tires, garage kept and maintained. Sorry for ******* for so long.

Wow 40k, awesome I found my 2015 with 60k on it 3 years ago- This is my 2nd SHO I've tuned now LOVE THESE CARS! I daily drive mine, so no 'official' track/drag for me (only when pulled up next to a Challenger, Charger or Camaro ). So I take it to approximately 450 or so HP and call it good! Here's what I've done- performance exhaust including downpipes- I use Stainless Works with catted dp, 3-bar Map sensor, deatschwerks in tank fuel pump upgrade, 2600 psi HPFP plus 2000cc Injectors (I use 5startuning.com), ruthenium plugs- I also replaced coils with MSD but factory coils are good until they're not- Intercooler upgrade <---I should've listed #1 weakest factory component- I managed to get Gearheads Intercooler but had to wait almost 2 years to catch it in stock and finally hot pipe replacement- most upgraded hot pipes should include the 'noise makers delete- I got mine from EcoPowerParts, they offer powder coating option- I opted to powder coat mine white to give a little accent under the hood that matches the outside. Finally, my opinion, SKIP the cold air intake on these SHO's, I've found intake temps at the filter to be significantly higher when CAI installed- factory box is very well designed- drop in a K&N and call it good there-- maybe alter the box with pvc pipe through the wheel well if you do anything at all there.. again IMO.

Man I love it! THATS what I want! I wanna roll to a red light after work, and SMOKE an emm effer! The last sho I had, It came with a horseshit cherry bomb set up, I cut it out and put in a Borla Ford Performance Exhaust. Changed plugs, changed all fluids, cleaned all the oil out of everywhere, it ran awesome, that's when I got on this forum, I wanted it to rip pavement. But then some idiot ran a red light and t-boned me. Said to myself, your 41 old man. You didn't need that car anyways. A few months later, im looking at SHOs for sale, like i do every day for years, seen it, salvaged title, my car, my exhaust. Absolutely blew my mind. 2 years later, my father passes away which Absolutely sucks, a few months later, im looking at my favorite cars for sale like always, bam, Red SHO, same color as dad's old van. To me it was meant to be. Said to myself, im 43 years young! Let's DO IT!!! So here i am, I really really appreciate any and all advice, but I hear you, I got a Kand N filter in there now, Im going to look into replacing parts with performance parts and a tune. I'm no engineer, but im no idiot, I love ford cars and I love oily greasy metal and plastic.

They are soo much fun! After I sold my 1st SHO - had 180k miles on it BTW and still sold for $7k! I owned an Impala for about a year then had to find me another SHO lol Don't be stingy on the fluid changes-- myself, I do full synthetic oil every 3k miles no matter what. Changing the differential fluids regularly is a must- the PTU in these only hold about pint and a half of fluid!! If they run just a little bit low or worn fluid for too long it'll burn up that unit quick like. I change both my diff fluids every 20k miles sometimes sooner and transmission fluid every 30k- flush coolant every 2 years no matter what. My first SHO I done this- had 180k never had a failed water pump, never timing chain issues, original turbos still- preventative maintenance actually prevents a lot! Good luck with your build- better get on Gearheadtuning.com and get on that intercooler waiting list! Lol- have fun and be safe!
