Anyone looking for parts for their V8 in the High Desert, a Theodore Red SHOwed up at the LKQ. I got what I want.

CAMs not welded and for whatever reason someone filled the intake with water, but I didn't see any noticable damage to the cylinder/valves. There was a small amount of rust on the tops of the pistons likely what seeped in from the intake.

Possibly, but not any rust on the outside. Seemed more purposeful. The car had brand new coolant in it, so appears they may have been troubleshooting, new coolant resevoir. Intake gaskets had the copper spray. Opened the throttle body valve and water poored out.
Heads looked good, clean.

Dammit! Here I was looking for an exhaust cam too. Wish I had been paying more attention.

Is water in the intake could be a test to see any leakage on it ? Weird...

a 97 just showed up in Arlington WA pick-n-pull, heavy front end damage so we know it was running when it stopped.
