Engine's in. Y-Pipe's going on now, halfshafts etc. next, then the button up, brake bleed, etc.
Keeping my fingers crossed...and my eyes...****, anything that I can cross is crossed.

Fred, Randy and Jay...after everything that you guys have been through this weekend....when I see you the beer is on me. I hope all is well. Jay...my phone is on, call when you get the chance.

Jay's car ran a shakedown cruise, and things went fairly well. We threw the hood back on, and a mystery puddle appeared under the car (which we're assuming is power steering). I'm giving Jay my 89 just to be safe, and I'll take a look at it during the week. Jay should be back up here again at the end of the week to swap back.

Better safe than sorry.

I'm uploading the pics now - 21Mb worth, over a 56k dial-up line shared by 25 users. It's going to be a while, and I want Jay to check them out first.

Jay's on his way back to work in NY now.

Here's one I gotta post:

Now that you're done laughing...
The real story is that we ordered pizza delivered and after an hour they called & said they couldn't find us (not like I've never had them at the house or anything), so I left a sign on the minivan parked on the street to help them out a bit. Chop came in the next day, picked up the sign & it was just too good to not take a pic.

That's for eating my fries & drinking my beer dude. thumbs_u

Hmmm... I think I can shed some light. Did you, by any chance, order the Pizza from Cumberland House Of Pizza (CHOP)? Coincidence? I think NOT! wink

Poor Jay, he's probably halfway down 84, next to the 89 that won't start, knocking his head on the steering wheel and asking, "why me"... :p

No, actually he got to work this morning without incident. He said the 89 ran like a top. Trans fluid was down about 1/8 of a qt of Redline D4 this morning before he left, after the trip to LVD & back, then out to see Josh & back last Thursday. Starter's a PITA right now, but that's a different matter.

Although, as you know first-hand from LVD Erik, a SHO will either get you there 10 minutes early, or not at all... :)

On a side note Erik - do you know what year that trans was? I'm wondering if it was an 89 & I should be switching the fluid out.

Well, it came from a 90, which would probably make it an 89 production date, but that's just speculation.
