Changed all the spark plugs with oem plugs( since I’m not tuned yet) I got a killer deal on some brand new inbox sp-534 x6 for $20 on eBay. The picture is the ones I pulled and all of them were gapped at .036”...

Question, do you think they are original? Or have they been changed? The car has 63k on it...

Manifold finished with porting today. Passed a 40 psi pressure test so now its off to powdercoating.

Valve covers, strut bar and battery tie down are getting coated Ford Dark Blue to match the calipers.

Sway bar will be here tomorrow, lacking motivation to start the strut swap.

Question about the insulation foam or whatever it is that covers the coolant tube.....are you putting that back on or leaving it off? I wanted to remove the foam but figured it should stay

Got the knuckle all cleaned out with my die grinder and coated with anti-seize.....put the new bearing/hub in, tightened the bolts as much as I could by hand....has got to be at least 120ft/lbs.....torqued the axle nut to 185ft/lbs. I got a new brake shield on, new radiator drain plug and while I was at Ford picking that up I decided to actually put the correct radiator fluid back in this time, Ford Specialty Green. Mixed that up with some distilled water. But I waited too long to pick up my ABS sensor from OReillys so they sent it back to the other store. I’ll grab that tomorrow and get it on the ground for a drive before pulling the front clip again to install my other nitrous jet and put some beads on my IC piping and address the stupid EPP “S” shaped silicone front turbo hose. It appears to be close to coming off and from tension on the pipe pushing down from securing the filter box it feels smooshed in the bend. But anyway making progress. 4509DC2A 5A1F 459D BF2D 38C215ADD88DCEEA13E0 F996 461C 8462 C3A336F4450696B780C5 B916 4699 8DFD AE8F3F79F578

Okay, two things: a BlendMount with hardwiring for my Uniden R3 radar detector. Secondly, hardwiring for my Kenwood dashcam. Both "mods" clean up these electronics because I don't have wires dangling to my 12V sockets. The BlendMount is expensive, but a very nice way to mount a radar detector.

While out in the garage putzing around this morning, I proceeded to switch the alternate power supply unit from "normal" for trickle charging, to "supply" to supply power as needed.

Sat inside her, cranked up the massive sound system, and likely woke up some of my neighbors. Not all, but likely some.

Then I got depressed cuz it seems I am in an endless loop of waiting. And waiting. And then waiting even more.....

Shut it back down. Looked at the dust accumulating on her, and told her "you'll be back baby, and better than ever before".

Returned power supply unit back to "normal" and walked away, going about my business.

****sigh****

What year is yours? I've been using Specialty Orange (2012). That's fresh on my mind because the wife's Explorer calls for the same and we've ordered it from Amazon 3 times now and they keep sending Yellow.

Ford stopped producing orange and created S.S.M. 48778 to start using yellow. that's in another post when the ssm came out.

Specialty green I thought was a Mazda coolant? I can't remember. There is a normal green too I believe.

SOOOOO MANY COLORS..... why... I don't know.

2010. I asked for coolant over the phone and said when I bought it it had green coolant....the parts guy goes....it shouldn’t have green....then he looked it up with my VIN.....it does call for green. So I bought green

What color/type was in it previously? I always thought the green was inorganic and not to be mixed with organic OAT/HOAT coolants? I have the orange in my truck and hate it.

It was green when I bought the car but since installing the GH IC and then removing it I’ve filled it back up twice with some clear color 50/50 mix stuff from OReillys that’s 17.99 a gallon premixed. Says it’s for Ford on there. So after doing the phenolic spacer and draining it again I decided to add the appropriate coolant and green is what Ford said it calls for.
