Went for a nice 2 hour drive yesterday. No radio, just windows down and the exhaust in the rumbly sweet spot.

Saturday after work I used our IDS scan tool to update my 2013's PCM and RFA module. I'm not sure if I can detect anything different on the PCM update, but on the RFA module I updated the calibration from DG1T-19G481-AE to DG1T-19G481-CB and it made a world of difference in the remote start range. For those having range issues on the remote start it might be something worth looking into if you have the means or take your car to the dealer for other services.

Yes thank you for doing the pin strip I had thought about doing a red one but didn't know how much Id like it I do like yours but I want to get the paint correction done first because I couldn't wait till spring to wash the car :(
Spent the day clay bar, paint correcting, ( 2 types of polishing compounds) and ceramic coating. My backs killing me, but she looks awesome again lol. 1a36e4265ed6b2c6d72159831f3b4bc71f37a4dd2a31f3080f469cb08f1b7053517749a9dfc1e54c81de1b74b5973264D5732a419183f5e90f51c6399360f6edB13f2a9a10a8fb7f4a04c3d27e148dfc

I ended up going with a AJP Turbo Tune. I purchased a Livewire TS+, new K&N drop in, and some plugs SP-542's on a stock 2 bar. The car is completely different. The low and bottom range of the car is really fun to drive now. Fuel mileage is the same, but the power.....wow. If you are on the fence about a tune.....get one.

Looks great! I like what you've done with the pinstripe...
Well I have to admit, the pin stripe was on her when I got her. I thought they all came with it. Gold and red goes well together too.

The ceramic coating wasn't hard at all. Easy on, easy off, and really makes the paint look deeper and brings out the flake.

The hard part is the paint correcting. Hours of work, done in the proper sequence. No more swirls and most of the scratches are gone too.

Thanks for the compliments. It was definitely worth the effort. I can post up pics of the products if anyone wants to know.

I agree, the paint correcting was rough. Took me 15 hours to correct mine. I should have just ceramic coated it then.

If you've already paint corrected you may wanna try the Mckee 37 blue ion spray. Suppose to be almost like ceramic coating. My son used it on someone's 2018 Mustang and it won best Ford at a car show lol.

This product is what I'm talking about....

Just put in 6 quarts 5w30 Amsoil 100% synthetic and had the PTU flushed then filled with 75/140 severe gear Amsoil. Should be good to go for another few miles. PTU oil was dirty but no sludge tech said it wasn’t bad.

I got a nail in my passengers front tire. Good thing I still have the OEM rims. I removed the bad tire, swapped the OEM rim and tire to that side. I can at least use the OEM tire to take it to Costco without having to risk the donut spare. My plan is to drop it off at Costco on the way to work tomorrow....(Thank you Overtime Gods) then probably pick it up Wednesday. I will drive in and let them use the lift and swap the tires.

Also I found a brake fluid tester on line. After 4.5 years still showing only 1% moisture.

I just purchased this, and I will let you know how it goes. I may claybar the car then apply it.

I bought some and used it on my girlfriends metallic black Escape. Was pleasantly surprised at how well it looks.

Small scratches and swirls disappeared. I didn't clay bar it or compound it.

A little bit goes a long way too. I used maybe a quarter of the bottle.

Post pics when you get her done.
