Taking advantage of a rare day off, as well as cooler temps, and cloudy skies, I washed both the '01 Taurus SE, as well as the '10 SHO.

Changed the oil and trans fluids in both (both got RP HPS 5w20, & both got the Motorcraft Mercon LV).

Treated all the black trim, and removed all the tires on both bulls, and cleaned down the suspension, etc.& dressed it all up with an tire shine/Armor All type product.

Didn't care to spend the entire day on both cars, and thought this was plenty enough for a good chunk of a day off.

Still have to get a good coat of wax on both before old man winter arrives here in CHI-Town, but the previous coats are still holding up well.

Love my Taurus's for sure. The '01 clipped past 120K recently, and the '10 clipped past 75K. Both still running like champs.

Just a couple of quick shots of both. No biggie. Enjoy!

What front lip is that and is it still available somewhere?

Part of an entire body kit, which was originally designed by the infamous Rick Bottom of RB Designs (located in Mendota, IL.) & made their appearance on his 2010 SHO affectionately dubbed "SHOx".

He has since sold his SHO, & sold the molds to his entire kit, off to Razzi.com a few years back.

Unsure if they're still selling them, or not.

Today I took pictures of the dent/scratches my careless white trash neighbor put in my passenger side door. No note, no knock on the door when it happened or after she got back from work, but at least she admitted to it when I knocked on her door. White paint on my black car and black paint on her white piece of crap van at the exact same height would be hard to deny, but I still expected her to pretend to not know anything.

Is she paying for the repair(s)?

If not, maybe source a good PDR vendor and see if they can repair the dent.

As far as the scratch, idk how bad/deep it is, but perhaps you can work some magic with a good compound to minimize it's appearance?

She says she will pay for it rather than go thru insurance, but we'll see how that goes. I think I can polish out the majority of it, there is a small mid door and another dent towards bottom of door. Regardless I don't think I will pay to have it repaired even if she does come thru with cash. I'll more likely put that money towards paying it off. If the car lasts me another two years I'll be happy, so it's not worth fixing. The plus side is it will now match the driver side from the one time I let the girlfriend drive it and she introduced me to the driver side mirror delete and then ground it between a cement pillar and the door.

Your car looks amazing btw. If I had yours and someone hit it, I'd be thru the roof.

Recieved my 3bar map and uploaded the Unleashed tune by Torrie today. Initially the vehicle definitely feels stronger and has boost in the 16psi range. Wasn't able to really get after it since I had tp get the kids to football practice, more to follow. As most report customer service was great and staff has been very helpful.

Update: ride into to work today was great. 59 degrees he in Colorado Springs. The car definitely has more giddy up on the butt dyno, seems to transition through gears better and at better points. Confirmed with SCTX4 I'm at 16.5 psi.

I plan on data logging a pull or two for a rwvision. The car runs great now but want to make sure there isn't something going on I am not seeing or feeling. Should be in the 70s this afternoon. See what happens.

Sooo that 16psi is going to be just a boost spike after the shift... Just FYI... Probably holding less... Like around 13 or so...

Work went alot longer than I expected. Should be able to get my logs in this weekend. From what I have understand the ecu is somewhat adaptive and learns or something. So I wanted to give it time to learn what it needs to. Then get the logs done. Anyone have input on adaptive or the ecu learning process? Maybe another thread.

With Torrie it would be more about Octane Adjustment Ratio or Learned Octane Ratio.. should be -.96 or so before you log... That only takes a bit of driving.. long acceleration and/or slow acceleration up hills gets the job done quick...

By the way, if anyone's interested in winter tires for their 20's, Discount Tire Direct has those Hankook Winter i*cept Evo2's for just under $190 each with free shipping AND currently give you an $80 rebate on the purchase of 4 Hankook winter tires (Plus another $50 back of you go for their credit card... I opted out on that). So they're basically about $780 for a set.C122ec83dbf837a9dcbfa0bf4157b8e4
