First post on this site, figured I'd make it a decent one.

Installed these wheels on her yesterday. Needs a bath but it won't stop raining

Edit: I realize its sunny in the picture, about 20 minutes after this was taken it started to downpour.

Over the past couple of weeks or so, I have changed the **** in the RDU and PTU, drained & filled the transmission, cleaned both MAP sensors with MAF cleaner, removed the oil separator from the valve cover and washed it out with solvent, and cleaned the PCV valve with MAF cleaner. This morning, I installed the 160 degree thermostat that I ordered from Jamie last week. In spite of the price, it is not made of gold but it does work! :)

It is raining in Minneapolis and I don't want to get my clean car dirty this morning so I haven't driven it with the new thermostat. However, working in the garage, I had no problems purging the air from the system. After letting it run for some time, the warmest I can get the coolant was 180. When I rev the engine, the temp drops back to the mid 170s so it appears that the new thermostat is indeed keeping the car cooler. Heater works fine. I easily was able to get in as much coolant as I lost in doing the job. Next step is the tweaked tune that Jamie will be sending and I will be good to go! Go fast, I hope!

That looks awesome! You replaced the shocks/struts as well? Is this an expensive operation?
PP Struts and shocks were 320ish shipped from rock auto and the H&R springs were cheapest from tire rack, $231 with free next day shipping. So $550ish total. I reused my old strut bearing plate.

Be sure to measure rotor thickness all around for all 4, marius, Robb did and found variations just this last week.

Ran a hardwire for my radar detector, swapped out the stock air filter for a K&N drop in filter, and changed the cabin filter. This week will change all power train and brake fluids.

I want to get the same things done soon, what should I pay to get the PTU, RDU and Trans flushed?
Dealer quoted me 200$ just for the transmission..

That's what I was quoted too from the dealership. The trans PTU RDU and brake flush quote total was something like $518.

mrhighcaliber - what did you use on your rear lights and the chrome trunk strip? Was that strip hard to remove? Your SHO looks great!
