It doesn't seal properly... And I've always had what feels like a small boost leak under power. When I would zip tie it that would go away, but only for a while.

So what is the actual purpose of this noisemaker thing, lol? My car seems to be running fine but now you have me second guessing, wondering if I should remove mine, and if I'd notice anything?

I took some pictures.. Targus tripod and 10mp. Of course these re gen3's and no one cares about them like they do the 1 and 2. I saw ONE black Ford Taurus SHO yesterday I think, but it had n SEL emblem on it. It was a 2011-2015. These cars after the Gen3 are cool.

Raced what looked to be a late model R6 on the toll road just about 30 minutes ago.

I have a funny similar story...

Some **** pulls up behind me at 11 PM on a 40mph back road, with no where for me to go. He pulls up so close I can't even see his headlights. I really don't like riding so close to other cars, so I stomp on it for a second to create about 4 cars' worth of space, and then resume the speed limit. Sure enough (and no real surprise), the other driver once again buries his headlights in my rear bumper. "OK, clearly this guy's not happy with the speed limit... I guess I'll be OK going about 10 over since it's late and no one else is on the road.", I said to myself as I stomped down again and created another 4 car's worth of space. However, this time it took a little longer to create the space required - not much longer, but I can see he was already accelerating when I did. "No problem," I figured, 10 over was plenty of courtesy for the impatient driver behind me - or so it should have been, if only he was interested in just moving things along. Yet, there he was again, buried in my backside at 10mph over the limit!!

Did I mention that I really really, really don't like riding too close to other cars? In my opinion it's more dangerous than speeding since more people and vehicles are involved, and other people are a lot more unpredictable than the dynamics of my own vehicle, especially if those other people behave recklessly. So this time I floor it, and say "See ya!!" as I watch him feebly trying to keep up. About 1500 feet later or so, the road widens to a two lane at a red light. This fool in a Mini Cooper S (eventually) pulls up to my right with the most disgruntled and frustrated look on his face, then takes the right turn, ripping his overly noisy fart can up to another light. *******.

Anyhow, so apparently, in simply keeping my distance from this fool, I was inadvertently involved in my first (and dare I hope ONLY) street race. The moral of the story: "A slightly used 2012 Ford Taurus SHO with light mods: $30k-ish... the look on the face of idiots that get their poser cars beat in a race the other driver didn't even know they were participating in, priceless".

Sold my SHO... Well, I traded it in!

I was ready for something bigger and wanting another truck... I picked up my new 2015 F150 King Ranch with the Chrome Package and few other nice options today.

I'm going to miss you guys and I sure enjoyed chatting and even meeting a couple of you.

I have some parts to list here in the next couple of days as well.

Upon retrieving my car from LMS a few weeks back, I was informed that my smaller underbelly pan (the one that spans between the radiator core support and the front of the bumper clip) became partially unattached during one of the runs down the track.

LMS made an executive decision to simply disconnect the piece entirely, so as to not cause any damage to the lower front chin spoiler, etc.

Well, I in turn made an executive decision to simply keep that piece off and not reinstall it.

It seems like at higher speeds (which I am now achieving regularly, and with ease) the volume of air is just causing to much force for the craptastic lil plastic clips/rivets that hold it in place.

Anyhow, I took the time to head over to Shockwave Customs (Frankfort, IL.) to have them install new LED's along the curved edge of the lower front chin spoiler, as well as onto the front edge of the radiator core support to make up for the LED's that had been previously attached to that smaller under belly pan.

While I was there, I inquired about the possibility of adding a few strips LED's along the underside of the rear trunk lid spoiler.

They said they could do it, but would require some work. I replied with the fact I was on a day off and not going anywhere. So they obliged.

Here's a few images of how it turned out:

I kind of like it, because it lends some degree of uniformity to the LED's, as it relates from front to back now, and oddly enough, it actually compliments the door handle/door pocket LED's on each door.

So just a lil sumthin sumthin to add to the aesthetic mod mix. Enjoy!

That looks amazing! I love how it looks like almost came from the factory like that!
Also, where did you get those badges? The Taurus and the SHO lettering, looks 10x better than stock..

Just installed my Cquence.net Premium Sport Series Blade II rotors with OEM PP pads front and rear! Too dark for pics during install but here are the rotors after the unboxing!

Just spent an hour cleaning the exterior. Then went to a local auto supply to buy some detailing products.
