Yes, go ahead and make fun of my totalled 95 atx. And do you think i care about not havin a bunch of mods on my car? Id rather have a CLEAN car then something half assed. Make something nice (the green one u have looks nice in the vids) then show that off. Other then that, i have not seen anythin nice.

BTW- What turbos are you running in your other shos?

I applaud your efforts!! Good job:thumb: There are many different ways to go forced induction. Who cares what road you took to get there as long as in the end, you did.

I built my own Vortech kit and quite honestly... I would be a little hesitant to drive it for 14 1/2 hours anywhere, not that it has broken since the blower went on, but that it would be difficult to fix on the side of the road in the middle of.. say Kansas.

As far as blowing SHO's up... how many motors did the ShoShop have a hand in destroying??

Amen brother, right on, that's exactly right, hit the nail on the head!:thumb:

Also Ashley, there will always be those out there that can say nothing good about your job, all they can do is pick out the bad stuff and be negative. I applaud you guys for your work and want you to keep up the good work! You're doing it right.........getting the "under the hood" part right, then worrying about what the car looks like. You can always paint the car after it's tuned like you want it. Chrome won't get you home!! Oh, by the way, it's America, if they want to own 100 different SHO's and blow them all up and smash them, (it would be sad), but that's they're business. I don't hear anybody crying when the junkyard smashes a SHO and sends it to the recycle bin..................I could go on and on. Keep up the work, don't let a few kids on this forum discourage you.:thumb:

I mean.. I had a sweet white 91 that was awesome. and I know my green one is sweet too. The red one is very clean on the inside...yeah the paint is faded... the date on the door is 10/88. older than probably any here. The other turbo sho was a friends that we built, and it was a H1C turbo off a Cummins. I mean we have 3 boosted shos. US=3 You=0 ... and why is 500HP the benchmark number out of everyones mouth to us. can't we have a turbo or supercharged sho that is not 500 hp? F*ck 500 HP..... And so what about having a clean sho... I would rather be whipping a stock clean sho anyday. if you would rather be for looks than speed maybe a SHO isn't for you. there is nothing better than a "Sleeper". Aren't we sho enthusiasts here.... we shouldn't be worry about beating each other.... but beating all the other guys.

allright cool, then its settled. You drive around in your semi fast turbo sho that is beat and what not and id ratherprefer to drive in a stock or a bolt on, NICE SHO.

BTW- how much hp did the turbo shos put out? ever dyno'd? im curious because i know with bolt ons you can get 220+whp out of a 3.0L 215 for sure......

Also, i am by no means just about looks, i appreciate both equally. If i wanted a fast turd, id go out and buy a 500 dollar DSM and a 20g turbo, slap it on, and run almost 10's, buts not all about that. Yes, i understand what sho's are all about, and they are not all about turboin and supercharging them in any sort of possible way. Like i said, if thats your thing, do it nice man, these are nice cars. (or atleast they can be)

Never wound what u should have killed....anyways, im done here....

Uncalled for...

If you dont like her/his work then keep it to yourself, this thread isnt called "rate my supercharged setup". So what if its not a 7000 dollar job, it's still supercharged, you ask everyone here if theyd rather have a stock SHO with nice paint, or a forced induction SHO with some fade. I think you'll find you're the minority.

Id rather have a CLEAN car then something half assed.

Dude, it's a taurus, its about as cool as you are. The only reason MOST of us are here is because of the motor, not the body.

Exactly, it's a Ford Taurus, so it's already half assed from the factory :laugh_ti:

Awe Terry, where's the fun in that. I had a good deal of my car apart, put it together, and in less than an hour Chris and I drove it 13 hours to AZ, beat on it, and drove it back without taking any tools.

Aside from not having an oil cooler, my boosted SHO *was* (new motor still to be determined) just as reliable as my Civic is.

Translation please :nut:

Hey, when I was your age, I used to do questionable stuff to :p Plenty of times I drove that old Toyota Supra back and forth to Montana when it probably should have been in a Junkyard, thankfully it never stranded me in the middle of Wyoming. My point is it's difficult to get a highly modified car fixed in the middle of Kansas or Wyoming and that tow bill would be a big one!!

That's about right. It's their car, their spare motor or parts, and they're doing stuff most of us can't. I love how people get so outraged about stuff someone else owns. You wanna save the SHO motors? Buy em up. **** when I sold them some parts, I gave them a motor and running GenI just to get it out of my face. I figured they might get some use out of them. You guys do what you want. Wrap it in duct tape and run 2 superchargers. That'll really get someone's ******* in a bunch.

Am I getting a bunch of heat because I ditched the snakes? I know a lot of people love SHOs just because of the snakes, but the GeekSHO is about making a super aggressive looking Taurus. And if I want it to look stock again? In under an hour I can bolt the stock intake and plus hood back on. Another benefit that I'm sure Ashley has experienced (and mentioned) is the extremely budget friendliness of an Eaton M90. I'm a student in college and can't afford to throw $10k towards a Vortech kit. Besides, after running this setup for a little while, that would feel like a cop-out.

Not from me brother. You did it the best way, with the supercharger as closes as possible to the intake valves. I was contemplating going that route, but I have so much time and money tied up in my polished intake that I couldn't bear to ditch it.

Even lightning troy, who just turbo'd his SHO buggy, thinks that the Roots blower is the way to go because of the immediate response mine gets off the line.

You guys keep up the good work. I love experiments.

Thanks Tom. The throttle response is incredible with it mounted there. Granted, it's not making the most power (probably the least of any SHO running 9 lbs of boost). The boost gauge looks like it could be a throttle gauge. When you hit the gas, the needle goes straight to 9 psi.

I need to create a thread for my car. Sorry if I'm hijacking your thread, Ashley!

I love boost on a budget threads! Probably even more than I love boost for $10K threads. Good work.
