I blew a coolant hose about a month ago in the back of the engine, driver side. I had it replaced, but now it seems to be smoking again from the same spot, nice thick coolant smoke billowing from the driver side.

Do I need new motor mounts?

I`m thinking this because sometimes I am not the most perfect shifter and sometimes I do some spirited driving and I do feel that motor rocking back and forth.

Are you losing any coolant? Any drips or wet spots on the ground where you parked the car?

As for the bad motor mount, I doubt the engine rocking is causing enough stress on a hose to cause it to break. However, changing the front motor mount is, in my opinion, 1 step above an oil change on a difficulty scale. I've done them in about 45 minutes not counting waiting for the coolant to drain out of the radiator. Just dont be like me and spend an hour snapping 2 1/2" and 1 3/8" ratchet in half by mistakenly tightening the motor mount bolt instead of loosening it. :nut: Buy the reinforced motor mount from SHOSource and enjoy a rock solid engine for the rest of the SHO's life.

You need to figure out where it's coming from. I bet it's the short little heater hose in the area above the speed sensor/next to the head.

Its pretty much in the rear next to the head. Dripping right down to the joint end of the ypipe.

And im losing a fair amount of coolant. Have about a half bottle left.

Sounds like your heater core lines.
I would take a good look at your motor mounts.
It sounds like you need a set of my reinforced ones.

Just did another front mount install and really happy with SHOSources extreme mounts , highly recommended .

I'm guessing the new hose didn't get clamped on well or it's one of the heater core lines leaking . Also can check the metal coupling shroud parts that are on the factory hoses as they tend to fail .
