so i just bought a 95 mtx 3.0..i drove fine with the exception of the oil light coming on when i shifted for the first day and a half, then on the second day i put some oil in the motor because i thought it was out, and since then it started smoking, does this sound firmiliar to anyone...help..please

uhh.. put some oil in because you *thought* it was out?? you put oil in when it STARTS to get low... the "normal" range on the dipstick is 1 quart from top to bottom, and then you have another quart to go before the oil light comes on, so you were pretty low. It's possible that you have an oil leak somewhere that falls onto the exhaust, and that you just didn't have enough oil for it to leak before.. clean the motor and check for leaks in a day or two
