My 94 ATX does not have the small wire that comes off the posative battery terminal.

I need to replace it.

Where does it GO!

Thanks

I should have qualified that to limit it to the ATX. The MTX may have one because of the remote solenoid, I just don't have an MTX handy to double-check but I don't remember seeing one the last time I was under an MTX's hood. I did just check the shop manual and there is no second lead off the pos terminal showing on the schematics

Any secondary wires that you would want to hook directly to the battery should be attched at the engine compartment fuse box.

The OEM wiring for the always hot/non-fused wiring is battery to starter, starter to fuse box, alternator output to fuse box through a fuse or fused link. The engine fuse box is where any additional heavy, always hot wiring should be terminated.

So in other words it has no meaning unless you have a need for a good constant 12v power at the fuse box.

Thanks

Again I heard it may be a cause to my no code problem.

Now I know.

as far as I know, only Gen I's have the 14 gauge wire coming off the + terminal. The 92, 93, 94 and 95 MTX's I've worked on have not had it, as well as the 93 and 95 ATX's. So you have no codes, does your CEL illuminate when you turn the key on? If not, bad bulb.
