i've gone over a bunch of the starter/ignition no start threads and havent come across my particular situation so though i'd share/ask..

over the past few weeks i've noticed the starter cranking slower and slower. it seems everyone mentions either their starter slowly deteriotating over a few years time or sudden failure.

tonight it stopped cranking altogether after a really sad attempt to start. boosting didnt help any and eventually i had to get a push and pop the clutch which worked like a charm..

its a '94 mtx btw.. currently using a battery from my old 5.0 but dont think thats an issue.

no batt light issues, will check battery status tomorrow and relevant cable connections.

what do you all think though? do starters go out like this sometimes?

If the battery and connections are all good and the starter is not turning now and was Turing slow before I would have to bet on the brushes in the starter are worn out.
