Yet more proof that you can take the hoodrat out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the hoodrat...nice offset on the front wheels (not)...man, why can't they just stick to those big-bodied RWD cars like Impalas, Crown Vics, etc., and just Dub them out instead...

i think that looks pretty sick how low it is! but mind u i can only imagine what the hood looks like though..... look at the strut tower extensions! wow major high!

i do like the wheels inside the fender though! i bet hs did air ride or something!

Ground control coilovers/koni inserts. Fronts are about 1/2 the way down and the rears are only down about 1/4 of the way because I have really short springs. (Longer rear springs going in this winter). Roads are terrible here in Wisconsin for obvious reasons so I won't go any lower than this. Rims are 17" team dynamic motorsports...

All terrible pictures...

Ive gone through SS linears, intrax, then cut them, and neither these tokicos, kyb short housing could handle it. And Im finding out first hand that Koni's cant either. Im wondering how many of you guys have modified your housings, or if it was possible to buy short bodied Koni inserts- retrofitted into an old short kyb housing. I will dig up old comparison pics if i can find them.

the fronts????? yes i moded mine! i have koni inserts and i allowed the part that bolts the insert into the stock strut housing to come through the bottom with a half inspacer to allow a slight bit more travel before bottoming out! i remember at the time the guy at koni said i can order the insert to any length , style and design i want! just give him the dimensions! i didnt do it but if i were to blow my inserts ... i would totally re design them ! and the rears are long body , with ground control coil overs , made my own style of strut mount for the top! used a 10 inch tall spring with 450 lbs rating!

fronts are 7 inch tall 650 lbs! or it may be 6 inch come to think of it! and i have my perches cranked down to lowest they can go on front and back!!!

For being on 18's, you're actually still pretty high. About the same height as my '91 is....except I have a positive rake(required in the function>form fitment of 245 star specs)

it still has strut travel. the sub frame bottoms before the struts do due to the tire size. ride is very stiff, lot of bump steer, under steers a bit but sway bars are disconnected, tires scrape while turning. it looks good but isnt practical at all to drive. no "stanced" car is though. it was only like that for a day. im not into stance, nore do i like the car that low. i did it because i could.

Its a little to low for me but I'm digging it! A good paint job will do wonders for it.
