Killed a deer with the sho last thursday. Hit it dead center, crunched the hood and bent the upper rad support in towards the engine enough to bust up the coil pack a bit.

As far as actual damage goes, 2 headlights, 2 corner lights, hood, coil pack.

State farm says that costs 3300 dollars.

Good news, they value my 196000 mile sho with shit for paint, at 2556 dollars, with a 100 dollar deductable, im down to a 2456 check for hitting a deer.


But wait, theres more!

I can do an owner retention which only costs me 200ish bucks.

Hit a deer, do minimal damage, get a check for 2224 dollars? i think I owe my insurance agent a ********.

I can't believe they didn't total your car.

There was a white SHO at Taylor's about a 2 weeks ago. The hood was in good shape.

got a SLO hood sittin in my parts room that im plannin on stickin on the 95 whenever i get around to it, but id hate to c what shippin would b on it

There was a white SHO at Taylor's about a 2 weeks ago. The hood was in good shape.

They DID total it. Filled out an owner retention form, they took 232 dollars off of the amount of money they were going to give me for totaling it, and gave me the remainder. I was under the impression that that would mean my title would have to be changed to a salvage title, but he said it stays the same.

Essentially, they totaled it, and I bought it back for 232.

I don't recall if the hood was still in good shape when I was there, but if you're interested, I can stop-by and check it out. At going on 3-weeks, the SHO may be already gone . . . .
