Well I brought the 96 home today and something showed up that I didn't notice on the initial test drive. Probably because I shut the radio off after making sure it worked so I could listen to the car as I drove. Anyway...when hitting bumps - or maybe just at random intervals - hard to tell - the radio goes into seek mode. One stab at the seek button resets it to the station it was on but this could get annoying quickly. :)

Any ideas - would that be in the football (buttons) or in the unit in the trunk?

Or am I saving up for an aftermarket setup in the ashtray after I get the cams welded and new tires?

Just save up for an aftermarket radio :thumb: It could be short inside, but you'd be hard pressed to find it when you open it up, trust me. Unless your really good at electrical engineering!

It could be something as simple as a loose connection, I'd suggest starting there.

It very likely is a connection. 99%+ of all electrical failures happen at connections. I would try reseating everything associated with it and see if the problem goes away.
