okay so i drove the car to work today with no problems at all, i was about to leave to go get something to eat when my SHO wouldnt start,

when i turn the key to turn on the engine the RPM's go up and sit at 500 rpms

which is really weird, i will try and turn the key to start the engine and nuthing happens occasionally their will be a click,

im confused as **** on why it is going to 500 rpms with the engine not being on.

please help :hail:

thank you

It could be a multitude of things, I guess I would check and see if your getting the proper amount of volts going from the Battery to the Starter. It could be a loose connection a ground or possibly a bad starter. Have you tried jumping the silenoid?

When you jump the solenoid, you also need to have the key in the 'start' position to get it to turn over - I've been fooled by that before on mine...

Get it running yet?

its running again

it was really weird it wouldnt start because the battery was dead but then when i i jumped it

the starter countinued to start the car after it was allready on and when you pulled the key out of the ignition that starter was still trying to start the car,

so we replaced the starter relay and it hasnt had problems since

thanks for the help
