Sorry to hear that! Only other case I can remember is a company car driven a lot for work. Hopefully the dealer will replace it free under powertrain warranty (still under 60K, right?).

Kirk blew his trans on his 2010 a few years back.

Makes me all the more happy that I retrofitted the 2013 Auxiliary Trans Cooler onto my own 2010 when I did....

Pre-install of that cooler saw my tranny temps, even under moderate load, to have been ridiculously high (& consistently).

I can't help but think the install of that cooler has saved my own trans to this day.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

If you repair it, or replace it, I'd inquire about retro-fitting the aux tranny cooler for your own application.

Well worth the minimal investment.

whirring sound

I'm also having a whirring sound on my 2010 SHO that is a pretty constant tempo (regardless of speed). Dealer swears it's not a wheel bearing. Transfer case (what is PTU?) would be the next logical thing to check, right?
