SHO squels!

My SHO squels sometimes when I start up and drive for about two minutes. I had the fan belt checked and they said that it was not the problem. I'm stumped. After those first two minutes, it goes away, but it's painful before then. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem? Thanks

If they said they checked a fan belt then you should get your money back. They fans are electronically controled. If you have an ATX then you have one belt, MTX has two. Try some belt dressing and see if the squeal goes away. Have you cycled your AC on and off? Putting a load on it can make a squeal as well.

I was cycling my AC on and off. But like I said, after about two minutes the sound went away.

Adjust the tension.... one of the belts is slipping.

Otherwise, you have a bigger problem.

Could it possibly be the water pump going bad?
