BB=ball bearing
I'm sure a lot of people will want to know the A/R size of the turbo.

Got it, it is not a journal bearing but it can be changed. We will also have an oil-less option.

BB = Ball bearing

Yes, specs on turbo are a must.

housing A/R, comp wheel and turbine wheel sizes.

I assume the TiAl comes with a .6 Bar spring? And does the full kit include the lines to water cool the WG?

Good stuff SHOSOURCE.

Can't wait to check it out in person at the Convention! Any plans to do a higher boost dyno? By my calculations, you should see near 340whp @ 12psi.

Ill have to dip up the specs later.

That would be a good guess but no. I had to put in a different set of springs to get 9psi.

We might do it for demonstration purposes but I also like my transmission.

While the oil less turboes are cool and add to the ease of installation i would not reccomend them at this point.

Coming from a business stand point these oil less turboes are fairly new.
The cost of them (1400+) added to the price of a 5000$ kit in this community, you would be lucky to sell a couple.
They also require maintence every 50,000 miles but thats not that much of a big deal.
Its one of those things where the cool factor out weighs the probability to actually sell one.

Interesting. Is $1400 the total cost, or extra?

Well the pricing i have seen its 1400$ for the sealed oil less turbo. Nothing els.
At that price you could buy a much better ball bearing turbo thats going to last longer, and spool quicker.

I may be drunk but...

Includes the uncoated hot pipes without the ****** for the turbo for your own application. Some fabrication may be needed depending on your turbo. (Turbo not included)"

SHOSource, Forgive me if I was in any way that I was suggesting that it should be cheap. You guys by far give us from your own free time, awesome stuff and the engineering of this awesome stuff. And that costs money.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Now trying to figure out how to afford this. ;)

EDIT: Just added everything up for starting from scratch with no turbo parts laying around, I am looking at a $6k initial investment. That is buying everything new from SHOSource. $5k for the Option 3 package, then about a grand in all the extras needed to run the turbo kit. This will probably be waiting for a while.

Could probably bring that last grand down in buying some of those things used.

I still stand by my earlier statement, Thank you for your investment of your time and energy, and probably of your hard-earned money, into making this happen. Looks to be well thought out and designed. :)

Thank you, SHO Source for bringing us more goodies to spend our hard earned money on. ;)

Okay, so how much is a 100 hp going to cost us? While I do understand tooling and all the other fabrication costs, I sure hope it is affordable and not something insane, especially for as long as everyone has had to wait for this.

Waiting with baited breath, when are kits available for purchase?

You are drunk, but keep drinking, I'll explain.

Zach's comment was about oil-less turbos in a side discussion about future possibilities, not directly related to the current item offered for sale by SHOSource.

It's a 20 freakin' page thread, so excuse my laziness. What's the tuning plan with this kit?
SHOSource item description says they provide a base tune for TwEECer, but recommend further dyno tuning on an individual basis. Does that answer your question?

Looks awesome guys, congratulations. Now I have to seriously think about getting the garage queen out of storage and turbo'ing it. *sigh* Just when I thought I was done modifying...

True, no one may buy but it doesn't hurt to offer it. Also it will handle any questions about some one asking for it.

Extra.

We offer a Tweecer tune but you will need to dyno tune from there.

Turbo Specs:
CT3-62/62
A/R .82
Journal Bearings
Wet Housing
Stage 5 Turbine
