Tapping into the oil pan is safe and has been done many times. We will be providing the needed parts and we can even drill and weld your oil pan.

Now I admitt I am kinda a noob, but instead of drilling holes in your oil pan, could you just make a line that screws into the drain plug hole? I'm not entirely sure on turbo lubracation, but if all you needed to do was get some non pressurized oil from the pan. I would think that would be the easiest route? Just brainstorming haha:nut:

The hole in the pan is for the oil return from the turbo. You could use the drain plug, but IMO the better way is to drill and tap.

the return needs to be above the oil level in the pan so no that would not work + you would not want to undo a extra line every oil change. this way is proven and not difficult. The exhaust will be off the car anyway when you install the kit to all you have to do is drop the pan and drill a hole. it will take you a hour tops. + you can clean you pan out and if you have not done it already change/check your rod bearings.

The return needs to be above the oil line as stated so you need to find a location that works and still allows gravity to drain the oil.

The feed line comes off a pressurized oil line.

I understand this is a side project, but you need to understand how short the attention span of your potential customers is.

Oh yeah very short attention span, its been almost a year and a half.

All they have to do is post one picture in the sho related section and all the attention is back. Take your time Matt, do it right.

unless people in the meantime have pieced together their own system, decided to do something else with the money, or had their car take a dump to the point they don't want to sink any more money into it.

Just like to ask what exactly the hold up on this project is...? I realize that you are trying to build a 'one size fits all' set up but the hard parts are not exactly SHO specific... Mounting hardware and pipes are the only real custom work that needs to be done and it doesnt take but a couple hours to fabricate that stuff. ****, there's a certain forum member that put in a MTX-IV into his gen 3, slapped a blower on the engine, installed a nitrous kit on the car and got a running tune within a matter of 2 weeks. Shouldnt take 1.5+ years to build a bolt-in turbo kit.

Not trying to start shit, I am just curious what the hold up is.

You obviously have never fabricated custom turbo hot pipes fit for production.

You are correct. However, I have seen countless companies pump out mass produced turbo and blower kits in far less time than 18 months and counting. If this turbo kit was being built for say a Corvette, Mustang or Charger (for example) people would have moved on to something else within the first 4-6 months of the thread being made.

Again, I am not here to start shit. I am just simply posting up a question that several people have wanted to ask. Believe it or not, this thread has been the subject of many hours of Skype, Facebook and MSN chat for other SHO guys. And a few are starting to ask "WTF is taking so long??!" :salute:
