There will be options for what is included in the kit from just pipes to everything.
You guys know your business, but I would offer a suggestion to offer it just one way: as a complete kit.
Otherwise, you will be pestered with questions/********/dissing as folks "do their own thing" and screw things up.
This is not an upgrade for the financially/mechanically challenged, and I wouldn't cut corners to get the marginal customers on board.
people may not wanna run the same turbo, 16g, 18g, 20g and the list goes on plus diff wastegates and blowoff valves there are endless combinations
Do you understand what the concept of a "kit" is??
for what you describe, go do it yourself.
I'm sorry, but I still pick up a gist in this thread that guys who don't know where next month's rent is coming from are looking at this as some kind of cheap way out.
As I said earlier. Set aside $10K. "IF" and "WHEN" you ever buy the kit and install it, you will chew up that $10K fixing all of the other stuff on the car.
There's two things to consider. First, SHOSource is awesome at providing quality products for a car that does not have much in the way of aftermarket performance parts; so for that they get mega props. Second, a business should be there to make money. That's how they stay going. If you only get ten guys that want kits, you sell ten sets of pipes. If you get ten MORE guys who want just pipes, what's wrong with selling just the pipes and making some more cash? If somebody buys a set of pipes and never builds a turbo car, so what? That's their problem. I've been around boosted SHOs for years now and have priced it out every which way. I know what it costs. I just want the opportunity to build it as I have cash. Offering just the pipes is just a suggestion; SHOSource is going to offer it the best way they see fit.
Focker, out.

From a business aspect, making your target market only people who have 10k to set aside for a project like this would not be wise. If that were the case, why drive a SHO? Look around this forum, most people are "do it yourselfers".
I like the idea of a kit, but on the other hand I think they should also offer it in a piece by piece offering for those who don't need the whole kit. It's not a "I don't have the money so I just want one piece", It's more like I've already got the turbo I want for my setup, but want hot pipes, fuel upgrades etc..
I'm sure SHOsource will make the right decision..![]()
