If the IAC is shot, even a cleaning won't get it to operate normally. Are you sure there are no codes when it stalls? It should throw something. It could be a CPS and it could be the relay control module or the fuel pump for that matter. I don't suppose there are any other SHO owners in your neck of the woods? There are specific procedures for each failing part. You need access to them and the patience to carry them out. My first impression is IAC due to stalling when coming off load. Just a first impression and nothing more.

You know, my friends car does the same thing and mine was doing the same after replacing about 60 percent of the components but thats another story. I am wondering if maybe the fuel pump is going? (The current problem on mine) I know exactly what your saying about how it stalls. My friends has a brand new cps and it stalls just coming to a stop sign or whatever. It's like the revs just don't catch at idle speed so I am wondering if the problem could be with the pump or maybe the IRCM or? shrug Do you get any codes?

I did have the IAC cleaned and like you said it did nothing. No codes are thrown whatsoever. I am going to my lab tomorrow to check it out and they have this thing that can check the CPS and the CPS, and a bunch of other stuff, so I'll check back in and hopefully it'll be fixed. I'm thinking it's the IAC or something like that.

I just saw on ebay a seller that has an ebay store on there scotlandyardspares or something. Anyway they are parting out 4 SHO's and I saw at least 1 was located in Clinton Maine. If you need a cheap spare part. Maybe you should drop them a line.

hahaha we have closure, it is fixed!!! Guess what it was......just sludge/carbon buildup on the TB butterfly and around the butterfly, because when the butterfly closed real fast it was not letting air bypass it so it was shutting down. So we cleaned it up, road tested it hard and it wouldn't quit, plus it would catch and idle at about 1100 rpm instead of 800 like before. Just goes to show that it's usually simple stuff!! thumb
