Go sit in a new Ram or the JGC, or any of their refreshed/new 2011 models when they come out. ;)

Let me know when Chrysler starts making different interiors for their cars instead of reusing the same exact one for every vehicle.

It actually does appear that the Fiat merger is doing Chrysler quite a bit of good; their interiors really are looking quite a bit better for the '11 year.

Also, in case you hadn't noticed, Ford uses basically the same interior for every car as well. That center stack... same in the Mustang, Fusion, Fiesta, Focus, Taurus... it's just a better design to begin with, so not as many people *****.

Ford uses the same buttons but not the same design. Chrysler uses the exact same layout, everything, for all their cars.

I'm letting you know....now.

BTW, even Jason, who is a Ford diehard and hates Mopars, disagrees with you. A bit ironic no?

BTW, here are the "not the same design" interiors.

All look fairly similar if you ask me.

Those look nothing alike. They all have different layouts, steering wheels, etc. You want to see copy and paste? Here we go.

I think most companys nowadays use alot of the same parts across many models and platforms. Its just alot cheaper to produce vehicles that way. What I thought was cheesy was when GM bought Hummer and used the 1/2ton platform and interior with a hummer body on it. Now that was lazy.

Way to be honest and fair and dig up pictures from 5 years ago lol, 4 out of the 7 pictures you posted are of cars/interiors that they haven't made for 2+ years! :/
Look again if you really think the Edge and Explorer have different steering wheels and layouts. Ditto the steering wheel between the Fusion, Flex, and Taurus as they're the same wheel with a couple of trim differences; or how about the dash of the Mustang and the Taurus?
Look nothing alike? All are different? Hardly.

For a more up-to-date comparison:

5 years? Those are all current models.

A quick right click shows the pictures are from the following vehicles:
- 2005 300C
- 2007 Chrysler Aspen
- 2010 Charger (they are mistaken here)
- 2008 Ram 5500 chassis cab
- 2008 Dodge Avenger
- Caliber, no year listed, but it's the 2006-2009 dash
- 2009 Dodge Nitro

So they're still making the Aspen? Or the original Magnum/Charger interior pre-2008 update? What about the last generation Ram? The original Caliber interior?

Fair enough. You still see where I am going with the Chrysler interior rant though, correct? I do see they are finally updating their interiors and the new ram looks pretty good in and out.

I'm a Ford guy and the only Pentastar vehicle I've owned was a Dodge Stealth R/T twin turbo (re-badged Mitsubishi), but I must say that I see more variety in various Chrysler product photos above than the Ford photos. That being said, brands tend to have their characteristic traits (BMW has their grill, Jeep has their grill, Porsche has their headlights, profile, and rear end typically [Carrera GT doesn't follow], Infiniti has their dash clock, etc). Maybe for Ford it is the instrument cluster.

Oh I know what you meant, the original Caliber interior is one of the worst (if not the worst) interior I've sat in; and others like the Magnum, Nitro, last gen Ram, Avenger, Sebring, etc are all either made of crap or is so dull and boring that they probably belong more in Yugos than vehicles designed for the North American market.

I do think they're finally doing a fairly decent job now, and get a bad rap from a lot of people who mainly remember the crap they made during the Daimler era. I'm actually quite excited about most of their 2011 stuff, the new Charger looks totally badass and I can absolutely see myself getting that as my next car to replace the TL (if it has a 6 speed manual, which it won't...).

I mean, look at that ass! :dribble:

BTW, I do agree Ford on the other hand had been making very nice interiors for a few years now, I love the interior design on the Taurus (less so the materials, especially on the door panels), and the Flex Limited that I sat in was unbelievably nice. I think both Ford and Chrysler is ahead of GM when it comes to interior, they still make a ton of hard and not very comfy interiors unless you get into the higher end Caddys.

And yes, I also do have a bias for Mopars, I just don't really get why sometimes people only like one brand and feel the need to hate the others. I mean I'd rather see all the domestics succeed than see any of them fail, which doesn't do anyone any good IMHO.

When has Dodge ever offered anything that can remotely be compared to the King Ranch package, let alone the new F150 Platinum?

The F150 Lariat has always been better then the Dodge Laramie package and when you compare the top of the line Dodge interiors to the King Ranch they just look silly.

Even my mopar buddies that cant spell rock after I give them four letters know that the overall interior quality or attention to detail is garbage.

I got into a charger and I swear to you everything felt like cheap plastic. The interior was like it had been put together by a 4yr old.

Heck, I'm a GM guy at heart but I'll freely admit that until the past few years, Ford has had the best interiors of the Big 3. I do feel GM has vastly improved lately and I do look forward to seeing what Fiat does with Chrysler...
