I have a 91Sho with manual transmission. When i put it into first it pops out unless i go to second and then go back to first which works most of the time other that that it runs great. Any ideas as to what the problem is

change your tranny fluid and readjust your clutch cable!! To readjust it, lift up as high as you can on teh clutch pedal, then push it to the floor.. it should be fully adjusted!! If those two dont fit it.. Suspect the clutch!

Do you have a rod or cable shifter???

Its has a cable shifter, but now it overrevs when i put it in third. i now drive it as if second is first n third is second.
