Also, I read up on the Porsche 928, that things is wicked cool, the Variocam is a good idea but If I was you I'd focus on the basic fabrication stuff, get the car running and finished to look like it's a factory product. (even if that intake and a turbo(s) don't look so "factory" hehe) .
Find a junkyard engine to experiment with if your truly looking at the VVT, that way your not bogging down an already time/money consuming project...
If you did eventually get some sort of valid VVT functioning that'd be epic and you'd probably have you own space in SHO modification history
