Okay i've searched and searched but basically I was hoping you guys would help out an old member here.

Here is the deal, bought a SHO for some fun, then started getting the no start crap.

What happens is this.

1. The car will start fine, run like a queen, no ruff idle nothing. However the tach works interestingly enough, it will sit at 1k RPM's constantly untill i get to 4k then will shoot up and read correctly untill i let the rpm's drop below 4k.

2. The car atfer around 10-15 minutes will DIE :(

3. At this point the car will not turn back on, it will crank forever.

4. We have now replaced the DIS and CPS by guys who have worked on the cars before.

5. Car runs a little rich. You can smell the fumes. However that may just be because it has been -40 Celcius and we are doing cold starts.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! hail

Have you run the codes yet? The weird readout tach thing could be as a result of a faulty CID (camshaft position sensor).

As mentioned above, start with reading your codes. It may point right at the problem. There are three links in my signature to sites with instructions on how to do it yourself with something as simple as a paper clip or short piece of wire.

Let us know what codes you find.
