The race starts at 1pm Saturday.

Look for the Taurus Racing flag over a aluminum home made trailer (and a camoflaged SHO).

I cannot wait to see how this plays out. I'd really like to read about how the C&D car couldn't hang with a camo-ed Taurus when they do their writeup of the event. Best of luck out there! :salute::thumb::3gears:

Back in Michigan ... again.
:hail: :hail: :hail:

Can't wait to see the result! Just be warned... I've heard that some participants actually go in with "teams" of multiple cars and attempt to take out some of the competition.

UPDATE-

Today the team arrived at Thunderhill, work continued in the padock to finish the prep work before the 9:00am Saturday morning tech inspection. The race will start at 1:00pm which will be stopped at 9:00pm Saturday night before restarting Sunday to run thru conclusion. Should be more then exciting to say the least, found out today that the corkscrew will be used which will really cause more difficulty to the night driving portion :oogle:

Check in with you later........

:thumb: Good luck, guys! Let us know how it goes! I fully expect two hot chicks (and one fat one) to destroy that car since it as an obvious advantage over the rest of the competition!

8hrs down and still running strong when the checkers dropped last night. :thumb: Make lap times of 1.26 - 1.30 on the 1 mile 7 turn course.
This is a no BS event, contact is not tolerated, black flags are very costly. :woohoo: The SHO is handling great, and Mike's brake kit is outstanding. Race restarts today at 9am and concludes at 3pm.

The SHO mechanically finished off the event with only a minor t-body water line leak at hour 14 of the 15 hour event. I will let Mike post the event final review as only a crew chief can do...... The car did finish strong and still has all the fenders and bumpers attached......... What a awesome time I had time, the GI-SHO excited my expectations :woohoo:

Looking at the pix the GI-SHO should've dominated out there. Some real junkers with no power. Looks like you guys had fun though. Almost looks like you left with the least amount of body damage. And boy did they tear that Crown vic to pieces. Glad they didn't decide to Buy the SHO.

Howdy folks,

I got back late last night and had to get the wife off to Europe, now I have to get ready for work, so I have a short window here to post. I might be able to get some pictures up today, if not I'll post them up tomorrow.

The car did great and everybody had a blast. Unofficial, we came in 46th out of a field of 71 cars entered. We where penalized 50 or more laps because the judges thought we had more than $500.00 into the car, even though we had receipts to prove it. They also didn't believe we had 240,000 miles on the engine. ("It looks to clean and new.") We had 4 Black flags, 2 for all 4 wheels off track and 2 for passing on the yellow flag. That cost us premature driver changes and 3 or more hours of "time out" for the car.

Kris McDonald, Kerry Tuck, Sean Simons and Mike also have photo's they said they would be posting up. Mike, Kris and Kerry are driving home right now because they wanted to cross the Siskyou summit during the day do to snow.

Thanks to everybody that supported us and we are already planning for next year. The guy's from BaySHO (San Francisco area SHO club) are planning an entry also, so at least 2 SHO's next year.

Kinda b.s. looks like there were many other cars that had over $500 in them... Out of curiousity, how many others were penalized?

That looked like it was a blast! Just think of those 50 penalized laps as handicap for the other cars! Thanks for sharing:thumb:
