Ok, I've been reading a lot about the diffrent oils that people use in their SHO's, my question is......

Which one is the best so far? I've had a good expieriance using Castrol GTX since I've been using for my auto rx treatment. Ive also been reading a lot at Bob the oil guy and have found that their tests involving shaffers oils are very good. Anybody recomment shaffers? Anyway, What is the best oil?

No real "best" oil. If you're used to changing your oil every 3-5k GTX will be just fine for you. If you want to extend your intervals (I change every 7.5-8k) pick up any quality synthetic. Any newer (SL/SM rated) oil changed at appropriate intervals will protect your engine just fine.

Grab a good filter too. Fram's will work but most (all?) others seem to just be built better. Stock size works fine, but if you have an MTX you can fit a larger (FL-1A equivalent) pretty easy.

Anyone noticed oil prices went up? I used to buy the 5 qt oil at about $6. The same oil currently is almost $10! :oogle:
