I thought the SHO was going to be my new car. It has everything I want and comes at a decent price. Drove one today and there was just no way I was fitting in that thing. That car is huge, but there is very little room for the driver. The position of the B pillar so far forward just crushed my shoulder, and the seating space was nill. I really expected the car to be much bigger inside. I'm so dissapointed.

Try one with no moonroof. You end up with a lot more headroom which means alot. And I think you can do something about the seating option... you can get some configuration that allows a lower position.... if I recall correctly.

you must be the kind of guy that scares small children and limp-wristed men, cuz i'm 6', 250 and there's tons of room for me. ****, my wife's got a 38" inseam and she has more than enough room.

I'm 6'-1" and 270 and I have no problems fitting in. Much more room than my Infiniti G35.

I'm 6'1 and about 330. I'm fluffy, I won't deny that, but I'm also very broad across the shoulders, and have very large arms. Think of a lineman who doesn't play any more :).

The salesman let me take it without supervision. I stopped 3 times in different parking lots trying to find a position that worked, there was just nothing that worked. I seriously wanted to cry.... It was like having to shop at big and tall for the first time; a total kick to the nuts.

I drove a non ecoboost Flex, and that was ok, so the ecoboost model is a potential fit. I just had my heart set on the SHO, as I've owned a 91+ and a 94. The current model just has it all.

Sucks but a colleague has a Flex (non Ecoboost) and loves it. The EB model should kick a$$!

wait wait wait...ignoring bill's fat comment, considering he's a bean pole himself, you were able to fit in a 1st and 2nd gen SHO but not a 2010?? :oogle: That baffles me, cuz my 95 feels like a go-kart compared to the '10.

The car is bigger, but the driver's space is not.

ZAP!

on the other hand...
It's easier to lose a hundred LBS than it is to find a high paying job in Michigan. Not that I'm saying you should...just reminding you that getting a job of any kind is pretty freakin hard right now...esp. in MI.

Those who have met me know that I'm a big guy. I fit in one just fine. I'm 6' with the torso of a guy who is 6'5" (SHOContinental can attest to this), and I had plenty of headroom. It's all about seat adjustment, which the new SHO doesn't have a shortage of. Just when I'm in the car, don't plan on sitting behind me.

Umm, the driver's space in the '10 is more limited than a Gen II. It's certainly tighter than my CTS. For as big a car as the Taurus is, the interior room is poor...
