You guys can't always go by the dealer computer. Having the VIN is the first step and the most important. When I ordered mine mid-August, it was built on 9-15-2009 and it came in on 10-16-2009. The dealer's computer said both the time of shipping and the time of arrival was TBD. And the day it arrived, it still said the same thing. I'd safely say 6-8 weeks for sure though. Congrats on your new purchase, you'll love it!

I guess if you aren't particular about certain things, go for it. I know I wanted silver and not white. (like the only other one in my area) The white one near me is not what I would have ordered by far, so if you have time to wait, then order one with the stuff you want. You'll be glad you did.

When I ordered my truck, I got it 3 days after the build date.
The only one the dealer had was a atlantic green that was loaded (i test drove this one) not what i wanted. They found three candy red ones in the area(500 miles) one was sold ,one had 699 miles on it and one the dealer wouldn,t part with. So i ordered one the way i wanted. Thanks for the replies.When i ordered my 03 Cobra i waited almost 4 months ,so no big deal.
Ordered October 3rd, and got it today (November 30), so just a little over 8 weeks for me. The messed up thing is that was built on the 5th of November and took this long to get here to Alabama... it's maybe an 11 hr drive, heh.

Just Took Delivery of My New 2010 SHO
Well, seeing the long wait for the direct order for the new SHO my dealer did a search and found one with exactly what I wanted that was in transit to another dealer and had it diverted to my dealer and I took delivery yesterday! Wow what a car!! I got mine in Ingot Silver, 20" rims, Full NAV, also got the heated/cooled/massaging front seats, ACC, to name a few of the options. It won't be my daily driver for now since I still have a BMW & VW to carry out those duties but it will be a joy to drive for the longer trips.

Congratulations and welcome! Same with me, another dealer in town had one exactly the way I would have ordered it. They wouldn't do a dealer trade at first, but at the last minute, I got it... the incentives at the time ended that day.

'92 SHO with a manual went for 17 years and 184,000. I sold her to a Ford service manager who wanted to fix it up. I decided to put my money into a new one and so far don't regret the decision. I miss the manual, but the paddle shifters give a taste of shifting when when I want to. It's the 400A base in atlantis green with the 12S performance package. It seems to be the best built and best performing car I have owned.

i looked at the new sho the other day! just can't bring myself to spend that much loot! especially when shosource is getting ready to kick out a turbo soon for the gen2's......so i am keeping my eye on the prize so to speak!

Welcome aboard buddy! Great to hear another local guy got one in the Tidewater area. Think we are the only two now.

They didnt have what I wanted. A 400 Pkg with 12S in Tuxedo black. The only one like that was in Shawnee, KS and was being demoed by the Gen Mgr of the dealership.
All the other SHOs out there were 401 with Nav or a fully loaded 402. 402 cannot have the 12S perf pkg, so that was out. I dont really need the extra foo foo stuff, like heated/cooled seats, sony stereo and moonroof.
The inventory unit my local dealer had in stock had 200 miles on the ticker, and I can only imagine how that car was driven for those 200 miles.

My SHO is being delivered in 2 weeks, and i have already talked to the GM twice about unwanted drivers before i pick it up!

Yeah we should get together I was admiring the gathering the TidewaterSHO members had recently in NC and thought that next time you get together I would join you and get to meet you guys, I got rid of my 1998 Ford Contour SVT (loved that car!) in preparation for getting the new SHO, it was my daily beater, huh I mean driver.
