As an actual answer to the original post, your friend needs to decide what his motive is- if he wants to have a unique and expensive (comparitively speaking) car that he won't be able to get his money out of, go ahead and pull the trigger on the swap. If he wants to buy a car that he can maintain and sell for what he has into it, he shouldn't do a SHO swap. Actually, he shouldn't buy a SHO either. LOL!

I won't be the one to tell someone not to start a project. There is nothing wrong in doing what you want to do. Sure it will probably cost more, but it may be more fun to go through the process.

First and most obvious question is- what color is his SLO? Will it match the SHO colors available? If not, he'll need to factor a repaint as well.

I agree with everything you said, he can do what he wants if its the route he wants to take although it wouldnt be the popular choice. I am unsure of the color of this SLO, but i think its wither green or white. both colors were available for the SHO anyway.

As far as roasting the poor guy alone about his contour project pleez?? its not necessary to hound him over what he's accomplished. Just because other people dont think this whole clone business is a great idea doesnt make you guys right. Its all for the fun of doing it, not the finished result. If warmonger wanted to buy an SVT contour, he would have bought an SVT contour. He chose to break new ground and attempt a front end swap not done before and it looks great.
