To make sure we're on the same page, when you say "perimeter" you're referring to doors, hood, and trunk, right? Some of the aftermarket alarms refer to a "perimeter" sensor as the RF sensor that could be used with open windows and soft tops, where if someone reaches in to the "perimeter" it triggers the alarm. I'm not aware of any OEM systems including this feature. I do believe that all standard SHO alarms have the door, hood, and trunk ajar perimeter sensors.

Yeah, that is what i meant by perimeter - doors, hood, trunk. The owner's manual indicates two types of alarms (perimeter and passive) and I assumed ours has perimeter, but not sure where it is specified in documentation.

I do believe that my GT500 has the full (oem) monte. Supposedly it will detect interior motion and if the car is jacked or raised while armed.

Easy way to tell. Put you drivers window down. Close the door and lock it with the remote. Wait a few minutes, unlock the door using the door pin (not the remote) and open the door. My bet is the horn starts blaring.....
