shifting problems

Just had my tranny rebuild on my 95 ATX and now every time I try to accelerate I strains like it don't want to go nowhere and not shifting properly into 2nd and 3rd resulting in hard shifts and high revs but no power ...I was told it could be the solenoid for the tranny

the first thing to do is pull codes to see if the pcm is complaining about any of that yet or not. with your description, I expect there to be codes.

I gotta code reader the original Ford one too but I forgot where I put it at ...isn't there a lil trick with bridging a paper clip?
