Might be 1 or 2 people upgrading to the ZIP kits, I know of one who did it on a 6F50 while swapping out the TSS/OSS sensors.

What's your end goal here? If you're wanting to quicken the gear changes, I'd get a tune. I'm running a tune from LMS and I'd say the gear changes are almost twice as fast, but very smooth. It now shifts as it should have from the factory.

- I am pretty sure AutoBahn Terror already has a solid tune. What he is asking is, Has anyone used this product, was there any benefits (what did it do), and most importantly was it worth the cost. All very good questions I also would like an answer too.

Now that you mention it, I did read his thread about losing the driveshaft at 170mph. So yeah, pretty solid tune in there!

There are two people that I know of that installed the Sonnax kit and other misc goodies below:

20170318 124553 zpsss2lou1w

Both of those upgraded trans builds have since grenaded. Unsure if this kit was a contributing factor to that outcome, or not.

I know of one person who had Circle D custom fabricate a higher stall converter for his (stock) trans.

That item alone, resulted in slower quarter mile times, to the tune of .5 to .6 slower. Additional, follow-up custom dyno tuning (post install of the Circle D converter) only saw a .3 gain back to the faster side.

All in all, I have heard from one of the Sonnax kit users, as well as the owner who had the converter installed (I say had, cuz that SHO was since sold private party) and both reported they did not feel their efforts were worth while. Both from a time and expense perspective.

^ Todd is having a new trans fully built.
BPD is correct there were three total built trans by the same person in the Colorado area. And every one has gone boom.

Yes. That is correct. I know he has hinted at getting some trans parts made for others if his build goes well.
Still telling though that you and the other two 600+ hp guys have had the most success on stock trans.

That's good to know.

Speaking of knowing, given the information I had been provided by the very engineer's that developed the EB platform, along with the information I received from Dan Millen (owner of LMS) I have never even attempted my 617awhp file.

Not once.

Dan specifically told me that I should only try out that highest whp file if/when I am prepared to have a built trans performed.

He went on, and said that he couldn't give me any estimate on its endurance. I quote him.... "You may get one run, or a half dozen runs, before you leave parts behind on the track".

I took that advisement to heart.

But I'll tell you what, I have beaten the living snot out of the 525awhp file, and I have been very pleased thus far that the trans hasn't hiccuped even once.

Passed 75k last Fall, and haven't driven it this past Winter, and it's currently at a customs shop for a massive custom audio build as I type this......

But I'm definitely all in, and on board for a trans build of my own. So any updates to Todd's, or others that may venture into the built trans realm, I'm interested.

I did provide the OP here with the info on my vendor for the CF driveshaft, albeit via PM. So sounds like he actually is making some headway.

Then I would be motivated to take back the title, for sure.

But in the same token, Jacob deserves his time in the spot light respectively.

We've both taken different approaches, and he is equally deserving of the top spot.

But yes, I would be tempted then. Lol.

In the meantime, makes no sense to me to break my own $h!t when I'm beating myself. So alas, I lie in wait.

I'll neither confirm, nor deny such rumors.

Lol.

Suffice to say, the new HPFP they have is, from what I hear, producing PHENOMENAL results.
