Today my shift cable bushing, at the shifter, fell apart in pieces. I was able to find a piece of wire aned rig the shift cable to the shifter and limp home. I researched the old threads and it was suggtested that the bushing can be obtained from Mopar as part number 04340118. Can anyone verify that this will work?
Ford parts indicates that the shift cable for the 90 SHO is no longer available. Are the shift cables available as an after market part? What model years used the same cable? I think the cables were used up through 93. the later model year cables have a different part number, but that does not mean they are different. Anyone know if a 91, 92, or 93 shift cable will work on the 90?
If I cannot get a replacement nylon or plastic bushing I'll get a new cable if I can, unless someone has a good used cable with a good bushing to sell. Is the SLOW MTX cable the same?
Any help would be appreciated.
