Hi all,
As some of you may know, I've had my car apart for the last week replacing many key components. In all I ended up:

1. New Clutch- replaced the stocker Ford unit with a custom 9 puck semi metallic unit and reinforced pressure plate.

2. Tranny Refresh- New seals and blocking rings, Synchromesh fluid.

3. New Motor Mounts- Replaced both engine mounts with ShoNUT Extreme units, and the tranny mount with a stock Ford replacement.

4. Control Arms- Moog with the greasable ball joints.

5. Strut Rod Bushings

6. Subframe Bushings- made some custom brass units.

7. Swaybar Links

As well as the upper 60k service. Not one shim was out of spec with 110k on the clock. No noticeable wear either.

I had originally planned on installed my custom big bore butterflies this weekend as well, but in making them I chewed one up accidentally, so those will have to wait till next weekend. Luckily Scott Hewitt had an intake for me to pick up so I put that on for now. (Thanks Scott!)

Overall the cars drivetrain is MUCH better. The shifts are effortless, and the clutch is smooth. I've only put about 50 miles on it so far so I haven't really pushed it. The solid motor mounts and bushings are doing their thing. There is some vibration but that was expected. I like it much better though... has much more of a 'sports car' type feel.

I'll post some pics tomorrow if anyone's interested. In the process I also painted the subframe and undercoated the car. I probably replaced some more things but I can't remember right now, heh.

I'm very happy so far though, and I must thank Josh at ShoNUT for his great customer service as well as Scott. Thanks!

Good work Adam! I've got mine ripped apart right now, as you know, doing the rear suspension and brakes. This is the last frickin time I'm doing these damn rear brakes on this bastard-of-a-car!!! At least this time I did it right and went with new loaded calipers. Also new springs and new struts are in the lineup, as my stock, weak as ****, sagging springs ruined the new struts you put in. Oh well. Hope evrything is error-free tomorrow as it was tonight.
