This goes out to those who have SFCs. After the SFC (especially the long ones) are installed, do they interfere with servicing other items, like replacing the clutch, etc?

uh, hate to say it but my gas tank can't be dropped now .. the fellow who welded mine on (Mustang Shop) did an excellent job, however angled them a little too close in the rear. I replaced my fuel pump by cutting a hole under the rear seat.

OK excluding Ransom's (and a few others) and older designs that had a little tank clearance issue, or installation error, the answer is: if you buy new ones from Nook or Toolman and install them correctly, no problem.

In many cases you will have to move the rear exahust hanger. Its position will often put it close enough (someimes touching) the SFCs and cause some nasty noise and vibrations. They do make for a tight fit on the fuel filter too. Who ever instals them should be made aware of these points, and tank. If they are awareand are competant enough to avoid all these tight spots (exh hanger may have to be moved or removed regardless) you will love your SFCs.

I am currently working on a new set of tubular SFC's that will provide increased stregth, weight savings and have no clearance issues in comparison to the current design. I still have some old set for sale if anyone is interested. The new design should be on my car by mid-FEB and be available for public consumption soon thereafter. Contact me via e-mail for any further questions.
