So I just replaced my DPFE sensor and the EGR solenoid in my 97 as I was told to do by the mechanic who read the code, but I don't know how to have the Service Engine Light go off. Anybody have some tips for me or will this eventually go off automatically?

Also, my brake light is pretty much always on, even when the E-brake isn't engaged. Not too worried about it but its kind of annoying. Suggestions?

Go to autozone and have the code cleared.

Brake light, try cleaning the switch for it.

Disconnect the battery to clear the light.

If the fluid is low then you probably will soon or now need pads.
