2015 SHO PP 50k miles, lots of regular service, i try to follow the doods service bible here. Finally going in to do PTU service and to flush out to the new coolant next week etc..

So driving to the office this morning in my usual fashion. Let the car warm for 10 mins. Outside is about 55° and a tiny bit of off and on rain. Make the left turn out of my side street onto a main road with some power to get ahead of traffic and get a "Service advancetrac" light. No real change in the feel of the car. The light remained lit until i got to the office. Shut off car, waited a few seconds, started car again. Light is off, car felt fine going up the street for lunch.

Did i maybe just get some slippage that confused a sensor? or have i waited to long to do the PTU service and am going to be slowly F'd ( i realize no one can actually tell me definitively)

:]

I get that sometime. Only in the rain. Turn it off and back on fixes it. Likely a battery connection/ground issue.

Get it after a hard pull on occasion. Not to be worried if it's a odd deal.

I had the "service advancetrac" light come on while driving through some rain/light slushy snow after picking up my 2015 3.7l AWD police Interceptor in Salt Lake City. Turned out to be a bad ABS wheel sensor. Part was Motorcraft P.I. specific, but only like $30. P.S. I also have a 2015 P.I. with the 3.5l ecoboost and a bunch of Gen1-2 SHOs. Love them all!

I had the service advanced trac light come on today the little wrench popped up and the engine symbol. Car stuttered when I went to take off it would go but not right at all. Wasn’t sure what was going on could I drive it this way to get to my destination was a ways from home. So I hooked up my sct to look for codes and po107 -po109 both came up. Map sensor Low voltage to the ecm. I believe close to that. Was like s$&t what do I do. So I flashed back to stock and put the 2bar sensor back in. Car drove perfect no lights nothing. I’m gonna put the tune back on and 3bar and see if it happens again would you guys say it could be a bad 3bar ? Has this happened to any of yous this way ? Thanks.

I have been getting the Service AdvanceTrac message come on virtually every ignition cycle followed by the traction light and a Collision Warning Not Available message.
Pulled a code that indicated the Wheel Position Sensor was bad. Anybody had this happen? BTW 2014 SHO non-PP w/ lane departure, auto park, pre-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, ect…

Thats when you can have fun. I pull the fuse just to get that alarm. Abs wheel sensor. May be cleaned but probably best to replace

Yes your map sensor is bad. It happens and usually without warning. Get a new 3 bar and youre good to go with the tune again.

I'm getting this (service advancetrac) for about 4 days now, every time I drive more than a couple miles. It started when I drove through a flooded street following some heavy rain. Is this going to go away on its own, or did a sensor go bad?

Did the water ruin it, or is that just a coincidence?

Probably an abs sensor wire on one of the hubs

You can guess what the problem is or you can scan it for DTCs with FORScan or a high end scan tool. What sounds more logical?

Usually happened to me after a hard quarter mile pass. I just turned the car off, opened the door, closed the door, and restarted the car.

What everyone has said here. ABS/Wheel speed sensor is usually the culprit. Water or hard bumps can sometimes get them to act up for a split moment. Mine sometimes pukes on a particular set of railroad tracks up here. Throws a code, but cycle the power and it goes away. If it's frequent get on it with Forscan and see which wheel is acting up, and replace the sensor, or at least check for exposed wires/loose connectors.

I would ballpark it at about $50-60/sensor and probably $150-$200 on labor to do one. Depends on your dealer markup and their labor rate of course. They're easy to do in the driveway and at worst would probably take an hour if you have to do a little wire repair. Not including the required beer breaks.
