I purchased a Torrie tune set up, with sct x4 tuner. I know he has total control over tune, but before I run his tune, 170 thermostat, Amsoil dry synthetic panel filter and custom gutted stock airbox, [email protected], 3bar map, I was going to play with the 3 tunes the sctx4 comes with. After which I would put in plugs, stat, 3bar and his 93 tune....
I know Torrie has basically full control with tune, but what can one do to self adjust any parameters . I thought I would use the stock sctx4 tune for the sho to play around, then when bored, add the sp534 plugs, thermostat, 3bar map and Torrie 93 tune. I am particular when I want my fans on, Max rpm, shift rpm, aggressive shifting in D and S even more aggressive, and taking off top end limiter. I also like to play with shifting feel, the throw you forward shift vs the chirp tires shifts.
What leadway do you get with this scanner, how are the stock tunes?
Anything anyone wants to comment on blast away I am thick skinned.....

Do whatever you want....it's your car. But the tune Torrie sent you will be leaps and bounds better then those.
And if you want the things listed tweaked I'm sure he will be accommodating. Torrie has the best customer service around.

You really don't have much control over anything. When you load the tune you can change some basic options like tire size, neutral rpm limit, and speed limiter. Other than a few basic things it's all controlled from inside the tune. But the nice thing with Torrie is that all you need to do is email him and he will make most of those changes for you very quickly. He'll adjust the shift presures, shift rpm, etc to whatever you want. I don't know why you would want to remove the rev limiter as that's there to protect the engine and unless you're upgrading the rotating assembly I wouldn't go any further over stock.

I don't doubt Torrie or I would not have got his tunes, trying maximize fun in car, get used to it, I had an all aluminum v8 with headers etc in G8, this car whole different animal. Not had car but 3 days before PTU went, wasn't ever even floored yet, bought in rain and rain for a week . Get car back Monday, been reading forums, manual, buying parts and just figuring on what I will do....

This might be a dumb question. I have the SCTx4 but what is the Torrie tune? How do I get that tune or can I get the tune?
