Yea im getting out of the sho game. Its given me a lot of headaches as well as walletache lol but it was also fun suprising people that thought they were cool doing flybys on a taurus. The story goes that i was driving my red 94 and brakes failed and were ****** fluid...pedal was goin to the floor and not slowing me down for longer than a split second a pump so i ended up sliding it into a curb at like 25 and totalled it. I thought maybe i could half ass fix it by replacing the badly bent inner tierod and removing the swaybar however upon putting it back together the wheel was still rubbing the ground effect in front of the driver door. Upon further frustrated inspection the whole car is twisted and most wrecked. My subframe is twisted and the car twisted so much that it actually cracked the intake, rim was trashed as well of course. I figure it is not worth trying to fix it because lately i have wanted to buy a brand new scion tc to replace the sho as my daily driver. I tried fixing it ie. cut out sway bar to remove, put in new inner tie rod, and put on another slicer but idk is there anyway i can now report this to the insurance and have them total it and give me a few dollars for the thing? idk what to do but the moral of this is im out and not looking back. Any suggestions or help on what i should do at this point would be greatly appreciated. Pics of damage to come but heres one of when it looked nice however it was not lowered in this picture just simple and clean looking.

personally i question that you hit a curb doin like 25 and totalled the car.....i hit a curb in a snowstorm in my old 93 doing 20 and all i got was a wrecked slicer...im willing to bet you were goin faster than 25 to total the car....

I totalled my Camry doing 25. I hit a curb with the side of the wheel while turning on ice and it buckled the wheel under the car. If I had turned into the curb, the suspension would have absorbed the hit.

rear wheel, but it was an over 100 mph into the curb, I think it bent the frame slightly but the car wasn't totaled.

Eric sorry to hear about your car and you leaving us. Don't be a stranger though, the thing that makes the event around here the successes they are isn't the cars as much as it is the people. Bring your new ride around for us to check out!

Should see the pictures of the front of his car. . . . . . . . . . .

I hit a curb at less then 20mph (tall one), and needed a new wheel, Subframe, LCA, Strut, Knuckle, Endlink, etc. Got any pictures of the carnage? Still can't imagine how you managed to crack the intake. Either way, it'd probably be way cheaper for you to drop the whole subframe, and replace it with another then have to deal with car payments. 1 Scion TC car payment > Fix your SHO. :thumb:

Depends on the size of the curb i have hit two once doing 25 on Rt. 1 in saugus and it was fine because of the shallow curb. But i totaled my first car when i hit one doing 30-35 it shoved the front driverside tire up and in, blew the strut, and snapped the subframe

Ace- yea it was 25 it was a tall one and it did not move when i hit it of course so it did damage.
KrazyRaven- No i bought it from my parents who were the origional owners.
Mels-Thanks man i really appreciate it. Yea i am getting into an older jetta that will get me to work, my girlfriends, and back and then soon probably beginning-mid summer i will be buying the new scion tc. Im sure i will probably make it out to one of the autox events tho to see what its about and yea i deffinitely wont be a stranger.
Mr95gl- Eh the car payments are not a problem because i am making some sick money at my job and i will deffinitely be posting up the carnage pics for you guys to see. After seeing them you will probably understand why im just getting a new car instead of fixing it.

pics to come tomorrow after i get home from work.

Depends on the angle- I hit one sliding in a snowstorm with my wheel turned and it damn near took out the whole RH side of the drivetrain

And to the "I'm done with SHO's" thing- ROFL! I've said that so many times...

ya it really depends on what angle you hit the curb at. i hit a curb while squeezing between cars  and i nailed the curb around 40-50mph and hit it so hard that my passenger flew out of his seat and bumped his head off of the roof. all that happened was that i popped a tire, suspension alignment and rim was fine. that day sucked though cause after putting a new tire on the car, later on that night i totaled it hitting a brand new taurus the lady just drove off of the lot. what luck.
