Yes,I had to open up the bracket to accept the fitting. The factory is not round and the russell is so it was ground open. These have no hard line to hose, there all hose. The stock hose had a hard line coming off the caliper about 2" to the hose.

I meant on the strut. The stock lines have a bracket at the strut to prevent the lines from coming out towards the tire and rubbing it.

Well the bracket is on the front frame horn right next to the strut and thats the one that had to be enlarged for the russell fitting to connect to the factory hard line.

I also got Earls , and it rubs on one side. but I thought it was because I ran large wheels.

this happened when I put mine on. You have to rotate the line 180 degrees. There is a correct way and an incorrect orientation for them, which isn't in the directions, just like opening up the brackets

I run stock size tires/slicers with '96 brakes and after i flipped the line it was smoooth sailing.

I bought the Russels last year and I had some rubbing issues too, can't remember which tires, I think the right rear and left front. I haven't driven the car much over the past year so I forgot about it until I saw this thread. When they blow out, which I am assuming they will, I am going to try the Earls or go back to rubber.

I'm going to try flipping them 180 degrees. There both on the front and both flexing towards the tire.Right now I've got them covered in fuel line and zip tied loosely to the strut.
